Is This Site Truly Helpful?
So you may have wandered on to this site and thought, can this site be truly helpful for me? I thought I would attempt to help answer that question.
So there are three people I see read the words on my site. You could be a Courser curious about the Muslim world, if so welcome! I'm happy to have you and I love you to the moon and back. I would say ask your inner teacher and guide, the Holy Spirit, Christ, or whatever label you have for the Voice for God if you could benefit from this site. I would say whatever response you get, follow it! =) My love and God's love is there eternally and the Voice for God always knows what's best.
You could be a Muslim curious about this text you heard about and if so, also welcome! I love you to the moon and back. I would say start with reading the Disappearance of the Universe for a good introduction to the Course. I send everyone there first, Muslim or non and if it spoke to you, then read all of Gary Renard's book and anything by Ken Wapnick, the forefront teacher of the Course. If you still wanted to hear from a Muslim about the Course, then come on back but don't forget, the first rule. Ask your internal Voice for God what's your best next step. Then follow that with devotion. Always follow the Voice for God, He is the Only teacher any of us need to make it out of the maze we are in.
Finally you could be like myself, a Muslim for A Course in Miracles, and if so also... Ask the Holy Spirit, Jesus, or your Inner Teacher if this site is helpful? Then follow It's advice always. Oh and I love you to the moon and back!
The Course lesson that I will highlight when the word "Muslim" is simply mentioned is "I can escape from the world I see by giving up attack thoughts (ACIM, W-23)." So much of the Western world have attack thoughts on Islam and this site is to help dismantle some of that. As Muslims we have also internalized those attack thoughts and it's important to also dismantle that. I was listening to a permaculturist yesterday (it's a hobby of mine) and he said "if you are against anything, anything, anything in life be careful. It will come back to haunt you." He also happened to be a Muslim and I wondered was that wisdom something he deeply understood from the Shahada and living it, or from permaculture. Either way it's wisdom that exists in the Course and in the Shahada and with those who awoke to Truth.
I live within the Muslim world, I live within the Arab world, and one thing I see consistently is how sick of Islam Muslims around me are. I often think the attack thoughts we harbor for Islam are getting us no where fast!
This Course lesson applies to non Muslims as well. We are all recovering Catholics, Jews, Protestants, Muslims, Hindus, etc. A nondualist lens on any religion is healing. A dualistic divided one in any form isn't. When will we decide to look once again? and is it ok to dismantle special love and hate relationships not only with the people in our lives, but also with the umbrella thought systems, cultures, and religions we live within. We all have a lot of memories and thoughts to forgive about our roots and origins and this site is dedicate to forgiving my own roots, and helping us collectively appreciate the nuances on the path to enlightenment.
Loving you to the moon and back always!
Yours Eternally in the One Heart,
Ibtihal
